Mercedes 2016 GT-S AMG Biturbo

. . .

I am not that wild about the newer body style, especially the rear hood. I feel the car has been over designed and has way too much bling. It reminds me of the Bat Mobie

+1

I prefer the prior body style, which I think is sleeker and has fewer strakes and doo-dads, to the current body style.

I think you are also beginning to feel some of the mechanical service issues as well.

I just won't buy an new SL as I don't like the new SL style

I just fell in love with the body style of mine. The wife had a car show yesterday at Boeing where she works. Great turnout... Unfortunately, I still can't drive!!

Snapped outside The Dorchester today. Some rich guys flaunting toys.
The Merc was a monster but I'd take the GT3.image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

Nice but that's a Hamann not a Mercedes

That actually is a Mercedes GT-S.
Hamann Motorsport is an aftermarket tuner that takes Mercedes, BMW, Lamborghini, Porsche and Range Rover and puts their touch on them. Just like Brabus does with Mercedes.

wow

Absent of a familiar logo I felt it wasn't

Here's my thought........

AMG has always been an after market upgrade to the Mercedes except for 2 models......the SLS (which I gather is discontinued because of a dislike for the gull wing doors) and its baby brother the GT-S. Why would you want to mess with something that is IMO already pretty darn good. Not something I would do

Well Brabus does the same thing. And McLaren did it with the SLR

I wouldn't change a thing.

Precisely my point Bruce

Now if I could get it in that green with a retractable hard top (Panorama roof) I would be very interested

Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster spied testing

Fresh Nurburgring images show off a canvas roof; it looks quick too!
So, as expected, the drop-top AMG GT will use a canvas roof and not a folding hard top like the larger SL. Fabric roofs are common in the segment of course, with the Audi R8 Spyder and Jaguar F-Type SVR also using them.
Aside from the confirming what we had thought about the roof - a significant update, granted - there's little else to reveal right now. The styling is familiar AMG GT but with a reprofiled rear to accommodate the roof. Even when disguised, the profile appears to work well, a more compact fabric roof preventing any unsightly bulges around the roof or boot. A pop-up spoiler is still integrated as well.

You can read more below on what to expect from the AMG GT C, with a full reveal due later this year. Prices and specs to follow nearer the time. Can it successfully combine the coupe's driver focus with some open-air theatre? It could make quite the sports car if so.

Canvas roof is out for me

If it comes to that I would buy a GT-S with a Panorama roof

Well the plot thickens on the ABC of my car. After the last repair where my battery was replaced as it was failing I was told the problem with the ABC fault light coming on was fixed. However the next day the red light comes on with a cold start in the morning.

Took it back to the dealer who now finds there is another ABC fault on the computer diagnostics. It now needs an ABC flush for $966 and if that doesn't work then a new valve block

All I can say is that GT-S AMG Biturbo is looking really good

The new AMG-GT is now showing up at dealer showrooms at about $115-120k

A GT-S is about $20-25k more.

gorgeous
