When you give your rights up to beaurocrats...

Should people voluntarily surrender their dangerous vacuum tubes and vacuum tube equipment? Also, non-Class D solid state? Those mercury vapor tubes are especially scary!

Maybe there will be a buy back program. :D

You know that tts will be next, the motors use too much energy and vinyl plants pollute!

Better stock up on spare tubes. That is the easiest way to "enforce" the legislation.

Hell, I'm in the audio underground already. I may as well dig in a little deeper...

...maybe even move someplace isolated...say Utah? :D

Ahem, gentlemen, did we not notice the April Fools hashtag, and the Eurocrats, Mssr. CRETIN and Mr. LIAR?
I believe vacuum tubes/amps have a LITTLE life left in them yet.

Well, w/the general Euro Skeptic tendencies of the British public, and reluctance to allow unfettered movement across borders, we're likely due to vote "no" to continued membership of the EC.
Maybe this will be a Golden Age for British-made tube amps.

That's funny I missed the hash tag but nothing surprises me these days Hello Dr lipra

Agreed. I come to this site to talk audio, not politico.

I agree. Amazing that audiophiles in their hypersensitive zeal cannot see beyond the toreador's red cape of an article that is an obvious satire, a joke. Obvious unless you are a certain type of audiophile, that is.

Fitz, I did get the joke. And a good one it is, catching out a fair number of audiofools.
