I've been lucky to play around with the Klangfilm Euronor Junior (no FC)IMG-20211009-WA0000.jpeg on a previous BAM! meeting, great system but less refined than smaller systems. At some point (IMHO the point where they were designed for large cinema's) those vintage cinema systems become what they were...cinema systems.

I'm not using either system at home, my current setup likely plays lower than Bionor due to the use of 3 FR units per side (yet for now without using FC) ;-)

When you want fintune the system use eckmiller eq this replaces passive crossovers; you can control the drivers actively. A little bass boost and more air in the highs.;)

Interesting toy!

IMHO the best crossover is NO crossover (well in some cases where you can get away with that)..
I def do not need a bass lift, the only X-over is a sine cap (super) tweeter filter.

I would like to sincerely thank you for your help and knowledge.
I now have my power supplies for the Supravox speakers. They are based on Rod regulators.

For me, the difference in sound compared to laboratory or switching power supplies is significant.

The speakers have much better control. The bass is tighter, and there is more information in the sound—more detail and air.

I recommend them to everyone.

You might want to try Tungar tube power supply at some point. I am using the supplies from Classic Audio. Line Magnetic also has a few models available.

You might also try a CCS as the regulator rather than a Voltage regulator that is common with laboratory supplies. My main concern with that approach is thermal runaway. That might be solved by using thermal feedback.

Usually Tungar supplies do not have regulated outputs. If they are, then the Tungars become unimportant to the result; the regulator is then what's important.

Looks like lok is using CCS, they are the rod Coleman CCS regulators.

I'm building some at the moment as well, but using his DC supplies. I've been bogged down with the case for a long time. Building 4 channels.

“A pair of 1950s Klangfilm Bionor cinema speakers, power amplifiers, and hi-frequency horns from the collection and home of Florian Schneider of Kraftwerk. These two large speakers were a focal point of Florian’s living room and consist of two large mahogany horns which bolt to wooden Kl L 501 enclosures equipped with two Siemens Smf Lsp2a speakers. Comes with two KLV 408 power amplifiers and a pair of black 6 Kl L 303 hi frequency horns with crossovers. The power amps are equipped with a pair of EL34 tubes, one ECC83, and an EF40.”

Agree, yet its an auction, the current bid is not even enough for two original Klangfilm speaker filters...

NO ONE TALKS
