Wow Mike - that's rich coming from you of all people. ;).

No sour grapes here. But then I didn't have advance notice of Dartzeel going under to sell the gear before it became public like some people did.
is that what you call facts? invoices?
If you are really playing the "unaware" card, next you'll be shocked to learn the earth isn't flat.
so spill it. or don't.

Like with the McLaren you fancied so much ;)

You forget W buffets rules , i might have money but im not stupid ( plus the speakers dont fit in it ) ;)

Rule 1: Never Lose Money

This might seem like a no-brainer because what investor sets out with the intention of losing their hard-earned cash? But, in fact, events can transpire that can cause an investor to forget this rule. Buffett thereby swears by Rule 2.

Rule 2: Never Forget Rule No. 1

Owning a McLaren comes with significant annual costs beyond the initial purchase price. These include maintenance, insurance, and potential depreciation. For example, a McLaren 570S, an entry-level model, can cost around $195,633 over five years, including maintenance and insurance.

It's too bad not everyone had the same advance notice about Dartzeel so they had the same opportunity to sell their Dartzeel gear before the news broke. Kinda seems unfair that some people had special relationships/advance notice, don't you think?

if we have to go there, my darTZeel was for sale prior to any concrete knowledge of any changes with darTZeel. i had another product in mind. my friend the N.A. dart distributor Jonathan passed away in April 2023, and at that point i had no inside info about darTZeel going forward. but since that connection had ended, i had been open to change gear. in early August 24' i listed my darts. a few weeks later (or months) Herve did his message.

but did i know that things were slow with darTZeel? sure like anyone else would too. i read the tea leaves since i pay attention.

two years prior in Summer 2022 i almost bought a different brand preamp and mono blocks. i was getting the itch to change. the new brand preamp was sitting in my garage floor on a pallet. then i changed my mind. sent it back. hit with a considerable restocking fee. so this direction of changing had some momentum.

looking back glad i still have darTZeel but after 19 years with it i had other-gear-itis. and happy to not own the other products i had lusted after......even though they were/are really good.

any other 'gotcha's?

It could be some combination of:
- Spousal influence
- Divorce lawyers
- Nursing home sizes

I can verify this because mike told me in 2022 when I visited of the other amp and where he was in the process

but im not stupid

At least the people claiming digital is analog's equal have a couple of other to support them. You are on your own with that statement.

They can support each other all day long
Digital is a numbers game anyway.

If a majority votes digital is more accurate what can you do,.... its democracy

Over here, simple majority does not rule, and the rights of the minority are represented and protected.

Bonzo represents a particular approach to audio regardless of popularity. And I dare say, he thinks he represents the views of some others.

And little do Ron and Micro know it, but I am representing their future views today.

No need to answer me back. I edited. You brought up the subject. My point is majority opinion does not really matter in high-end audio. As many keep repeating, it’s all subjective anyway, and anything goes.

So are you fnally giving in / rolling over.
Is it now only Bonzo ( AWS) holding the banner.

Ps AWS stands for Audiophiles Without Systems

Peter I am not sure I agree. I know so many people that want to take a survey of all possible participants which usually ends in IMO not making the best choice. I agree that people want what they think they want which is influenced by more factors than we can list. I will say this and I am sure the readers won't like my statement but many buy by looks and price. When you ask people why they bought something the number one answer is "i got a great deal"
I always say if you listen and the place you listen doesn't have good sound then why are you buying there? I guess I am crazy
