I've seen exactly four of them. LOL

Surprised there hasn't been any discussion of the list. I was surprised to have seen 77 of the them. We are watching a few others we had missed (Old Boy, Zodiac and Memories of a Murder so far).

Here is a link to the NYT article (subscription required)...https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2025/movies/best-movies-21st-century and here is a link to the list in IMDb https://www.imdb.com/list/ls599610113/
interesting list. We've seen 50 of them and of the 50, 25 were half decent or better

So many great ones overlooked and to call Parasite number one makes me want to vomit. How that won the Academy Award for Best Picture escapes me

I feel the same way about Parasite! Disappointed “9 Days” and “The Last Black Man in San Francisco” didn’t make the list.

Thankfully Anora didn’t make the list. Even Parasite was better and I hated it

I don't dare read this article to see if the previously lazy choice of Mulholland Drive as #1 is repeated.

Happy that Zone of Interest was on the list. Spielberg called it the best holocaust movie since Schindler’s List.

Zone of Interest is incredible. A must see.

Like any "best of" list, the results are bound to be open for debate. The section titled "How Actors, Directors and Other Film Lovers Voted" is interesting. I suspect some voted on films that simply touched them. Pedro Almodovar, for example, chose the film "Amour", by Michael Haneke, which is a very sad and touching movie about old age. He also chose "Call Me By Your Name" which is also a touching movie about coming of age, love, etc...

Psychedelic Furs - Love My Way!

The fact it’s #65 and not even in the top 10. And looks what’s in there instead
It's a strange list for sure. If you look at who that asked to make the list, it includes "filmmakers, actors, and other figures in Hollywood" and suffers from the people who made the list. Borat is #50, that's really all that needs to be said.

I chuckled at that one myself!

Inception at 55? They didn’t get it.

List looks to be made by the same person who makes the TAS and stereophile list of components

I can immediately think of five films I would have placed at the top: No Country for Old Man( javier bardem worldclass), The Dark Knight( heath ledger), Tree Billboards outside Ebbing(so good dialogs lol), Memento, ziemlich beste freunde, Departed( jack nicholson)
The Bucket List
