Some first thoughts.

The LammML3 sounded even better on the Reference Ultra than on the Plural Evo
Plenty of headroom and subs are definitely not even a consideration. On some songs the room literally shook from the energy

Fantastic, Steve - - a dream realized! They look great with the system/room, and I bet they sound even better!

I’ll have more to say later but one additional caveat. Based on the new speakers he did make adjustments to the settings on the Schnerzinger Grid and EMI Protectors. No change was made to the multi guards.

At long last! Many, many, many congratulations and best wishes, Steve. I have enjoyed watching the evolution of your system all the way back to the days of the original X1s...and I am sure I speak for many of us here...that many of us have enjoyed watching that evolution.

Looking forward this next great chapter in a fantastic book!

Heere's another caveat. The Plural Evo had 4 x 11" drivers. The Reference Ultra has 6 9" drivers (both sides combined) and the bass energy was far superior and even more dynamic and viscreral that the rural Evo with a sense of even higher efficiency .According to Gideon they is largely due to the proprietary Dueland capacitors made specifically for Zellaton. We played some tracks and the bass energy was so present that there room shook. I have never experienced that with eh big Wilson's I had which had 13 and 15" woofer and sub.

Bottom line was the Referenc Ultra played louder and with far more energy than the Plural Evo such that we were dialing back the gain on my preamp. From what I recall the Reference Ultra is less efficient than the Plural Evo but there was so much more visceral energy heard that there is no doubt in my mind that there is zero concern using my Lamm ML3 with all of 32 wpc

They look fantastic, congratulations Steve!

I will try and get some better photos of the speakers so that everyone can get a feel for this Aventurine green Plus I really like them with the black rings.

We are going back up for some more fine tuning but the last caveats that these speakers are somewhat more forward in the room than were the Plural Evo and the chair is also slightly further back than the setting with the Plural Evo

The natural organic quality of the sound of the speaker truly was an eye opener for me. The speaker sounds much more electrostatic than the PE with even greater beauty. than what ribbons or other planar speakers can offer, but with the added benefit and luxury of actually moving air. Frankly I have never owned any speaker that puts out bass as does the Reference Ultra

Interesting about the capacitors' impact. Dueland's are famous for needing a good long time to break-in. Did Gideon have any input about what to expect that way?

a big shout out to Big Dog RJ who has stated here so many times that the "boxes" are totally invisible. How right on he was . It's like they truly do not exist . Im flabbergasted as to how much energy these 9" drivers are putting out

Congrats Steve! It's be a real treat watching your posts the past 6 months regarding the Zellaton's. It's such a great feeling to have your expectations exceeded and then some! Congrats again!

Gideon echoed that sentiment in regard to the time taken for these enormous capacitors and unique coils to play at their full limit
but having said that, right out of the gate I was tongue tied at the energy I was hearing, so im expecting even more as they settle
