Looking for an amplifier to drive some new MoFi SourcePoint 8 speakers in my secondary system in my small den. I think I will use the variable volume out of my MSB Discrete DAC with Roon as main listening source and TV audio optical into DAC for movies as second source. Hopefully in the next five years we move into a real house with more space then I would expand this room into a surround sound media room and get three more SourcePoint 8 speakers, used DATASAT RS20i and more amps.

A few of the amplifiers I have thought about:

Pass Labs XA25 - worried this wouldn't give me enough power down the road if we get the larger space for surround sound especially with the 87dB sensitivity of the speakers.

McIntosh MC275 - not sure tube would be the best fit for future surround system and longer movie watching, also concerned with power with 87dB sensitivity.

McIntosh MC152
McIntosh MC312

AGD Temp di GaN MKIII
AGD The Audion MKIII

Budget Options
Schiit Tyr
Parasound Halo A21+

A singular Sourcepoint 8 has a sensitivity rating of 86.3dB@2.83V/1m when they're pointed directly on axis (basically tweeter axis is directly coupled with your ear).
When you have the tweeter axes on both pointed right past your shoulders, they have a sensitivity rating of 85.9dB@2.83V/1m
Using the lower limit sensitivity, and the minimum impedance modulus that the speaker has (8 Ohm, basically a true 8 Ohm speaker).

Assuming you're sitting even 12ft from the speaker, and want to listen at 80dBC with transient headroom of roughly 20dB, you'd need an amplifier that can do 3.4Watts for the 80dBC RMS but with headroom power reaching almost 400 Watts if you want 20dB headroom for dynamic content.

and since most music is not even up to 10dB transient peaks, an amplifier doing 400Watts into 8 ohm is all you need. but note most times you'd be using way below that. Get the MC312 with it's 300W power delivery into 8 ohms. They're gonna be more than capable and the best one with here when it comes to cone control as a result of their high damping factor @Chauncey79
