If you are truly interested in conditioning, saving and rehabbing your feet you might consider gradual implementation of VIBRAM 5 Fingers. However they should not be used if your feet are still in the acute stages of an injury.

Ferragamo came out with some new line of sport shoes, I bought a pair at the airport DuFry store and they are very confortable. I also use Ferragamo to go to work, 5 years old and they all look new and fit just right.

I wouldn't say they are stupid looking but for my feet definitely uncomfortable. Used my pair of slip on chucks maybe two or three times only. Puma moccs are a million times more comfortable even if the look is now dated.
