You know what John, that is a good question and looking forward to an answer, but I guess depending on the power they require it should be ok in my mind, but then so many things I don't know. having Gary to answer you is awesome though ;)
I do believe John will get as much satisfaction out of this move as he had originally felt going from the great Totems to these. There is something to be said about a certain level of loudness in the total mix for enjoyement and he will get that now IMO.
I know what you mean by not really jazz, but I have to disagree as the structures he ventures into are closer to free jazz than anything else. As for RViNY, great call buddy, a damn fine album.
I like the real "Who" ;) j/j but I tend to forget about them and him mostly, sometimes it's hard to realize that the "American Woman" howler is the same as on "These Eyes". He has such a range vocally and emotionally that if I was given the chance of being given a good singing voice he would be...
Hi John, I just noticed Joe Cocker in your quoted post and agree on all counts, his version of "With a little Help..." is to die for.
Another oft forgotten singer who in my mind has one great voice is Burton Cummings ;)
Ok, yea I actually felt stupid asking when, as they say to newbies (like me apparently), did you google it? :D
Thanks buddy
Digging Luminol as I'm typing and I can't wait for the multichannel experience like only he can do, I really wonder how he can do all he does, be the top mix guy in the...
Boy I hate to be a newbie and bump a 1 month old thread, but this is something I actually thought of very much and with the help of my daughter even though is only 19 has some professional training and experience as a singer and dancer. I came up with my top 25 or so covering all rock and pop...
I agree John, and on some occasions the band's interaction with the crowd just creates magic, magic that can't exist on studio work. 1 omission I realize on my list and actually my all time favorite live album is without a doubt Made in Japan (Purple), that was one of those nights where Purple...
Well I'm not going to argue that as I have not listened to all of those, and still believe that seeing them live is the best way when you know the material and see how they travel with it and in this regard they are all unique, but if you could point me towards a few of the best I sure would...
Hey John, hi and thanks for the tip, love this place. I guess for me Umphrey's is a bit like you John with Harmonium, we make it a mission to introduce them to the most people we can.
You do know that they do Toronto on most of their tours and if they go by their usual routs we could see a To...
I so agree with you John ;). It gets played here on a regular basis. Favorite track is no contest for me: Boz Scaggs - Thanks you. This disc proves how amazing digital can be when well done by real pros.
