Those woofer cabinets of vitavox, like tannoy, will sing beautifully resonating together with shun Mook mpingo discs
This is a special gift for them. I still think of my mother when I play classical...was always on the 'record player' when I was young.
Maybe a MM cart so needle mishaps don't ruin the evenings flow
For some reason my EMT phono is very choosy about playing mm. Probably not enough gain. Ddk was very nice to sent me this mm to break my mm "virginity" in his words.This is a special gift for them. I need a step up but it is not my thing to get more variable into my system.

The Vitavox are awesome speakers with very few equals.Your 927 is really a museum piece,in my opinion should be revered as such.
I also hold the American Sound in a similar camp,stay true to your taste and express yourself when creating the tone master home
system.
I have always been a DDK fanboy from afar,his tenacity in developing such a masterpiece is inspirational.His knowledge of vintage is
almost replete.I have liked very much Lamm amplification since first hearing it.
That said I believe you have a great opportunity to employ the EMIA or Mayer approach.Partnered with a G301 or TD124 in a dual arm plinth perhaps?
Whichever way you go this is the most rewarding,in my mind,musical journey.

I rarely follow trend as I mainly appreciate quality and tasteful implementations of artisan works.The original Vitavox are a masterpiece.Partnered with the MM EMIA LR phono the 50 mono blocks a Garrott brothers Decca blue and a Garrard 301 from Artisan Fidelity,Audio Grail or CTC would be right up there for me.

Actually the cartridge is a moving coil with built-in transformer so you can play it directly through the mm input, you can’t add or need another SUT in line with it. It’s strange that there’s not enough gain with your EMT phono the cartridge has plenty of gain. You should contact EMT and see why that is.

Sondex pre N 001 and amp at 2.200 euro. When Radford closed Sondex go on to produce Radford amp

Radford was known for its 15 and 25. The later 100 wasn't as good. We heard the 25 and 100 on tannoy at Montesquieu, and another 25 on a tannoy at westlower. The silvercore 833c 20w which Montesquieu has is quite better. And for lower wattage requirements there are better 2a3 etc amps, not sure what vitavox requirement is

The Vitavox needs very few watts and a high end SET to sing, IME the top end can be hot with a high powered push/pull. I’m also hesitant to recommend vintage electronics to anyone nontechnical, they always require attention, parts are hard to find and noise will always be an issue with highly efficient horns. There’s no reason to handicap top vintage speakers with 2nd or 3rd rate electronics when they’re more capable than most of today’s so called best.
