Yves Saint-Laurent is a Canadian school teacher whose hobby is to collect and digitize 78s. He has a large collection - 99% classical. You can purchase CDs or files.

I purchased a few, and they do sound good. I suspect most of the material is already available, but there may be a few rarities. Check it out.

Here’s a Frank Sinatra track I purchased:

To my ears, his voice sounds more “natural” compared to a few versions I found on Qobuz.

For some reason the static is exacerbated in my video recording.

there are many versions on Qobuz. Most of them are "sanitized" and sound terrible. Some have added reverb. The official "Columbia - Legacy" version is among the better ones, but there is still something that feels "fabricated" about his voice. Anyway, have a listen and compare for yourself if you are curious.
