* Gain set at -4 dB! ...That is extremely LOUD!
[Try to do this with your turntable nearby! And,
you'd better have a goddamn good pulleys system with a good anti-vibration skating absolution!] :b
I don't have the original LP to compare. However, of all the digital versions, my opinion is that the HDAD is the best (many others feel this way, too.)
* DSD pure bitstream audio signal (100% untouched).
Loudspeakers playing Full Range (-6dB @ 24Hz). No subs, no x-overs, no processing, no nothing.
Pre/pro's overall gain set at -3.0dB
Yes it is Lloyd! Because I have the other CD versions as well. And to my ears, this one is it! :b
And/or unless someone else knows some better versions (LPs & all).
{And indeed, the first two discs of this 3-Disc set are HDCD encoded, with better dynamics.}
Thank you...i checked on Amazon and could not see the HDCD in the description so good to be able to double check with someone who owns the cds. thanks...will try to get.

Two new LPs showed up on my door today from Elusive Disc. Shelby Lynne “Just a Little Lovin’” and a limited edition (2500 copies-mine is serial #0821) 45 RPM version of Art Blakey “Impulse.”
