Sonny Stitt Plays...supposedly a nice 'pressing' from Japan...certainly sounds great! Comparable in quality to the Analogue Productions CD of Sonny Stitt Blues the Blues

No and no but I like it and I can imagine that the Japanese mastering sounds very good.
I only buy that kind of jazz on SACD, mostly from Analogue Productions.

Yes, I like Analogue Productions work as well...don't do the SACD-bit, but I usually get their SACDs for the CD layer and for long-term since I try to get as many of them second hand anyway.

I have barenboim's Bruckner symphonies plus Simon Rattles new 9th which was releases about 2 years ago. How do these compare with Eugene Jochum?

Have not heard that compilation yet Lloyd, so I can't tell - I have an un-open box from Harmonia Mundi thou that I am about to discover - Wagner follows!
