I'm running Legacy Audio's Helix. 3,500 watts per channel of amplification. I use three Coda amps, 2 CS and one CSX amps: one CX for the mid bass, one CX for the mid range, and one CSX for the treble. The built in subwoofers are 1,000 watt ice amps. All that power is not used to play the system loudly, (of course it will play at live levels!) but is used to have enough power to resolve anything the source material can throw at them. The dynamics and speed are incredible. They resolve details at low and high volumes. This speaker has he ability to reproduce a baby's breath or shake the room with the sound of thunder and lightening cracking. If you ever comr to the St.Louis area let me know and you can stop by for a listen.
The Coda electronics are what Bill Duddleston uses to design his speakers.
I use those utterly crappy Martin-Logan Summit-Xs that sound worse than a $500 Harman speaker....)
Jut to be fair, I don't think the M-L's in the Harmon test we all refer to were Summit-X's...
If only Myles could have been waiting outside of Harmon and bused those "kids" to his house for a listen to a real audiophile system.
I have no reference speakers because I haven't heard a pair of speakers that perform a reproduction such as that of a live concert, showing or performance. Until then? I am still searching. Until then? I enjoy what I have.
Isn't Peter/ack closer?![]()
