Those handles look seriously uncomfortable. Also this kind of depends how tall the person is and how his back fits into that back. Colour us nice though, depends how it looks with fur on it.
What makes you think I have any guests? I've scared them all off.
There's a real issue with access to my loft re largish chairs, even if I liked something like this, most won't squeeze up my spiral staircase.
Further to my posts of visiting a fellow audiophile to hear his Airblades in a very well procured full range single driver horns based system, and particularly his grounding of the Airblades via a Tripoint Troy unit, I was given the opportunity to borrow said Tripoint to try on my Airblades.
My system has really come together in the last year, primarily due to the install of specialist circuit breakers replacing a balanced power transformer. Allowing any subsequent changes to be very clearly elucidated, either good or bad.
I had no expectations going in to hear his system with the Airblades grounded, just curiosity as to potential positives. And those findings posted on the Airblades thread.
On install of the Tripoint here, it took the overnight period to hear them start to make a difference, both subtle and dramatic.
The subtle changes are a welcome natural sweetness to the music, more dramatic is the reduction in a whole layer of grit.
Meaning together that music flows more naturally, dynamics seem somewhat faster and more responsive, and tone feels more fleshed out.
Where the initial introduction of the Airblades to my system was all about high end extension, air and staging, the Tripoint grounding of the Airblades is more about the mids, the meat of the music.
All in all, a fascinating listening experience.
Not right now, I'm likely to try a couple of other brands first. And this one is the original version which is many years now discontinued.
But the concept of grounding the Airblades is now very obvious to me.
I bought my Tripoint from a dealer down under who was getting into a Scottish-made grounding alternative, their name escapes me.
But they were certainly a fraction of the price of Tripoint.
Forum member Plasmod3 has confirmed to me that the firm is indeed Signal Ground Solutions, ( and that he has an ex-dem example of their flagship box for sale.)
Have just ordered 2x 3m silver core leads from Paul of Z Axis Audio to ground my Airblades to the Entreq Olympus Mini I've just picked up for a good price.
If the cartridge wires that he made up for me are anything to go by, I have no doubts these will work perfectly as well.
They'll be nearly twice the thickness of the Tripoint leads I've been auditioning.
Grounding my Airblades has been an absolutely fascinating exercise where major noise reduction in a system produces a disproportionately positive outcome, across a broad range of attributes.

Paul has just informed me his ground leads are very low impedance, 7-stranded silver, tightly wound clockwise, each strand individually insulated with PTFE, Mundorf silver solder, Furutech rhodium spades...all in GREEN sleeving!
Now, I just *love* John Coltrane's version of Greensleeves, will I love Paul's?
Do you have Entreq leads to compare to the ones you are having made for you?
I found mixed results (at best) when i tried Entreq grounding cables on Tripoint, and vice versa. Each box definitely worked best with the leads it was supplied with.
That's certainly something that's occurred to me, 3m lengths aren't something the dealers I've tried were able to supply me, even as a trial.
And Paul's leads work out quite a bit less expensive, and his armwires have been so good here, I'm confident in taking this punt on him.
If i have a rummage I'm fairly sure i can turn up a spare atlantis lead to loan you, to make a comparison once they arrive and if you're so inclined.
I have some available since i reordered everything, primarily to simplify to one component per ground plane. I currently have more leads than ground planes; the olympus has two, the tripoint five including mains. But i have need for at least another two to ground my dac, so I'll use them soon enough.
I'm just starting to consider how i want to ground my subwoofers. I reckon i need four ground planes per side, to allow for 3 active subs and a speaker. If i had the means I'd buy another two tripoints...the entreq approach performs well but im not wild about the aesthetic. Otoh I'd gladly stack a tripoint on each stack. I'd have to hide the big entreq hero- thingys out of sight behind the subs as theyre the size of a chest of drawers
Edited to remove incorrect reference to softwoods.
Had a butcher's at the website and it's oak.
Appreciate the gesture, but I'd need two loaners, of 3m each, you're unlikely to have those.
Die is cast and custom leads ordered.
Good luck w what appears to be a pretty full on set of ground boxes, Tripoints are not cheap, even s/h.
Tru dat
I'm leaning back towards the olympus ten hero, having refreshed my memory.
It's a beast.
My man maths says mebbe 18 months saving for the brace,
with a fair wind and a good deal.
I'm impressed by the 5 cells per box plus separate mains cleaner.
