I wonder if that's solid state amplification sound, at least to my ears it sounds like this. There are details, tone, but no transparency as can be heard with the best tube amps. Typical modern high end sound. B. Oring. If that would be tube amp sound, its the most nearest to SS sound I've ever heard. Not my cup of tea, although a very fine recording.

I've listened to this piece or portions thereof well over one thousand times in the past 20 years. We all have our favorite or go-to pieces when we think or know we're hearing differences. This piece for some reason is always my untimate go-to piece. Seems to offer just enough of many characteristics and still keep it IMO, beautifully simple enough. Give it some juice.
