This is what "real" bass looks and sounds like

So much for the mentality of hip hoppers who think ridiculously out of proportion bass is everything. Is listening to that crap supposed to be enjoyable?

The Youtube said "4-18" woofers, 30,000 watts.

How does a cars batteries and electrical system generate 30,000 watts? How does ANY woofer not burn out with 7500 watts?

30KW can easily be a whole house generator.

MIKE, I'm glad you didn't feel intimidated by his woofers!:p

Did someone mention bass? A couple of pics of our HT sub, as it was being built shortly after us moving in. The home came with a weird alcove that immediately (to me) looked like a perfect subwoofer enclosure. With the help of Martin King, we designed a MLTL sub using 2x18" Dayton pro woofers in 48ft3. Brick/concrete construction. It is driven by a Samson pro amp going through a BFG. We estimate its sensitivity at ~100dB/1w. At full song, given the right material, the sub can literally take the garage door off its hinges.

Wonder what Joni Mitchell's 'Blue' would sound like over one of those mega-car woofer systems?
Probably pretty killer for string quartets and chamber music.

Yet another example where quantity and quality are not the same. (These are inside the cargo area of a van I saw at CES one year)

Uhhh, don't you need drivers for midrange and treble, or do the kids and ghetto guys just want bass?
