I have a good problem; I just purchased a Miyabi Fuuga cartridge. I have two arms on my TW Raven AC, a Dynavector 507MKII and a TW Acustic Raven 10.5. The Raven has a mono cartridge which I will remove (just for now, may add a third arm down the road for the mono). The 507 has an Grado Epoch. The Grado is fairly massive at 12 grams I believe. It has a relatively low compliance also. The Fuuga is more massive yet, at 15 grams and it has a slightly lower compliance than even the Epoch. I am using the VAC Statement Phono. The Grado runs at 47k on the mm input at 52db maximum gain. The Fuuga will run on the Vac’s MC input with adjustable gain of 72db or 76db.

Here’s the question; which Cartridge should go on the the Dynavector 507 and which onto the Raven 10.5? My dealer is thankfully very accommodating and has offered to come out and do the install. If time permits it might even be possible to try both arms with each cartridge (could be a lot to ask and accomplish but we will see).

Would greatly appreciate some thoughts and recommendations on this setup.

PS: I will also be evaluating the Cinnamon GALLE three-box phono with SUT… More on that later…

Typically choose the tonearm with a higher effective mass for a low compliance cartridge. I'd be inclined to start with the Fuuga on the Dynavector 507 Mk II and the Grado on the TW Acustic Raven. I run a Fuuga on my Kuzma 4-Point 11".
