Can anyone post a link or publish the Specifications to the DMC-30SL Reference Preamplifier? I can't seem to find them anywhere. Thanks!

Thanks Lloyd. At least that's a little more info than I had before. Do you think Spectral plays well with Burmester?

Is the DMC-30SL their top of the line preamp?

I have no experience with either in any meaningful amount...but i can say i have read in numerous places that Spectral tends to sound best with Spectral...including cables that Spectral recommends. I think FM Acoustics is the same.

I think the Website actually says...this is the finest pre-amp ever produced by Spectral in their 25 year history. the SL version was an upgrade for their 25th anniversary.

Understood. Thanks Lloyd.

If anyone else has the specs, thank you. Otherwise, I'll call next week.

Get a 30SS Series 2 or FM Acoustics and you will never look for another preamp again.

Thanks ack,

Can I ask why the 30SS Series 2 vs the SL? I am just now really looking at Spectral vs others.

Yes tried Spectral with DMC 20 Burmester 911 very good combination ..

The Spectral website is not the best for updates...
Anyway, if you want to get technical information about their latest products, you may check the section "bulletins", where they collect pdf files of their press releases.

After the 30GL, they had the 30GL G2, the 30SS and the 30SS G2 (actually I don't know whether the 30SS has been released in 3 generations...)

Thanks Docvale,

If I understand correctly, the "SL" upgrade is probably the last upgrade for a given generation. I've been pouring over the pdf's, but have to go back over them slowly and digest what I read. It all seems new to me.

You know, some people do electronic design exceptionally well, while they have a lot to learn in the marketing department. Such is the case ___: A) Here, and they should stick with what they do best; B) With Spectral; C) All of the above

C) All of the above ?

Recently acquired a new dac (emm labs dac2x), and currently control volume digitally with a processor (trinnov) that sits before the dac. Considering some preamp options, and have an emmlabs switchman on the way to try out (I have an integrated 2 channel and multi channel system). I may be able to get my hand on an 30sl as well, but before committing funds want to make sure this will work in my system. I have transparent reference cabling and 200 wpc class a poweramp mono locks (jungson ja 200). Will this work with the spectral?
