That's been done several times before if, in fact, that is what it does. What's critical and tricky is what parameters of the bass is measured and what is the nature of the counter-active wave(s). See Nelson Pass’s Phantom Acoustics Shadow active low frequency acoustic control devices (1989) and the more compact Bag End E-Trap (2008).
The AVAA is different in that it does not generate any sound.
