I'm a rookie when it comes streaming audio...
I have an Audio Note UK DAC that has a USB input. Is there a device that I can plug into that input that will allow me stream Tidal from my Android phone?

If you mean using your phone as a remote control you can get a streamer like a Bluesound 2i that will do the job. If you want to go directly from the phone to the DAC for android phones use an OTG adapter.

You could get a bluetooth gadget like the following:

But to get better sound quality you need a streamer like the BlueSound Node 2i.
There are alot of brands at different price levels. I'm thinking about a getting a USBridge Sig from Allo:

I'll look into those. Thank you. It looks like they have interconnect outputs. I need one with an out that goes to a USB input.

Chromecast audio has its own dac or optical out, it is discontinued but still available on Ebay. Very easy to use but the sound quality will probably not get the best out of Tidal and your dac.

This affordable streamer from Allo has USB out and gets very good reviews. Needs a power supply.

If your dac has spdif inputs you could use:

So I bought the Chromecast Audio and Chromecast Optical Cable as the article suggests. It cost almost nothing on eBay. The problem is that my DAC only has two input options:

1. USB 2.0 Type B

2. Coaxial

I can’t seem to find an adapter to link the end of the optical cable with my DAC. Ideally I'd like to use the USB input because my transport goes into the coaxial input.

I don't know of any optical to usb converters. You can use the Chromecast Audio as is, or get a DAC with optical input, or get a streamer with USB out and use the Chromecast in another room.
