Stack Audio Auva 100 isolators

I’ve installed some Auva EQ under my pre, DAC and switch with great success however under my heavy tube amps not so much.
I’m curious as to what you mean by ‘empty’ Auva under your amp. Is this as simple as removing the silicone insert or something else?
Appreciate any info.

Hi Blue58

Nothing cryptic like that!

I meant to type “employ” but was foiled, once again, by bloody predictive text!

My post has now been edited and should make sense now!

Sorry i meant the serene stabilizer. To be honest every one of these isolators i installed made a noticeable difference. The Speakers were the biggest of all.

Any feedback on the LP stabilizer?
Still awaiting the deeper mandrel variant before I trial it.
It'll be going into a hugely optimized TT front end, so positives should be easy to discern.

I just ordered 3 sets of the AUVA EQ's yesterday, will place them under my DAC, Streamer and Integrated Amp. Really looking forward to hear how the effect the sound. If I like them will probably order the AURA 70's for my speakers.

@Minatophase3 I'm in a somewhat similar place -- I use them under my Spring 3 and two-chassis server, and have Auva 100s on my speakers. Iirc the biggest impact was on the main server chassis (with mobo & i/o), but they improved the realism and staging in all locations.

Excellent to hear. I like the thought of the Auva 100's, but think they will look strange under my YG Acoustic Talus speakers as they are not overly large.

They look fine under my Daedalus Argos V2s (47x11x16) only bit larger than your YGs, but more importantly provide SQ benefits

I use four of the 70s under each of my Von Schweikert Endeavor SE speakers, spiked through carpet onto concrete. They're within the load rating of the 70s, but I wonder if the 100s would be better as they're spec'd to provide greater isolation. Anyone compare the two?

You will notice a nice difference for sure. Add them to one device at a time, start with your amp, then the dac then the streamer. Play the same song a few times before you add them. Or several songs, I have 5 tracks I play when I make a change to the system. then play the same songs again after you add the isolators

It is in the eye of the beholder but I prefer the look of Auva 70's over spikes with floor protectors. I don't find them looking too big for smaller speakers and I use stand speakers.

Yes those do look nice with your stands and subwoofers. I asked Josh about what do do with the subwoofer and he said they have a new product coming out designed specifically for subwoofers in the next 30 days or so. Will be interesting to see what those are and how they compare to the footers designed for speakers.

Of course they are after I just bought feet for my subs. Now I get the FOMO. :)

Hello Zuman; I am unfamiliar with your speakers, but I went to a demo at a friend's house where he had all three Auvas (50, 70, 100). I also took my Townshend Bars for comparison. I think somebody brought Iso Gaias as well.

The outcome was that the Auvas were better than both the Townshend Bars and the Gaias. In addition, the 70's were an improvement on the 50's and the 100's were another improvement on the 70's. There was better perceived "soundstage depth and width" and more "weight" to the music. Vocals were better defined and the music had better "separation".

Subsequently, I purchased 8 Auva 100's, which are under my speakers now. My speakers are the same model as the person doing the demonstration was using.

Of course, if you are happy with the Auva 70's and you feel that the 100's may be too large, then stick with the 70's. At the demonstration, we all felt that the Auva 100's were a step up from the 70's, but the difference is certainly not "night and day". However, we thought that the difference between the 100's and the 70's was a little bit more than from the 50's to the 70's.
