Psvane Acme Series (new flagship series)

My pair of Psvane ACME 2A3'S have been very reliable. No issues whatsoever, with lots of use. I bought a second pair for backups.

I bought from Woo Audio, just in case any problems occur, I know they will take care of things. But, no need, they have been flawless.
I'm pleased you find the 2A3 reliable Blake. I've have 400 hours on Treasure 6SN7's no issues. But poor luck with KT88's.
The older Treasure KT88's sounded fantastic about the same as nearly NOS brown base GEC.
I'm in the market for a quad of EL34's but don't dare take the chance with Acme. I truly wish it were otherwise.

Confidence is something that is hard to achieve in the tube world!

So the same type of tube will sound different from each different manufacturer. There is also a fair chance that tube may sound different from the same manufacturer. Add to that the NOS tubes available. It's complicated.

Having said that there is only one major disappointment I have had with my tube purchases! That would be the new Western Electric 300b tubes. Really no issue with the sound it was better than the less expensive 300b tubes I had used to that point. My disappointment was that they failed within a 100 hours and were not covered by the supposed warranty offered by the manufacturer! Buyer beware!
The pair both failed?!

Acousticsguru, by any chance were your Western Electric 300b tubes "B" stock tubes? Some "B" stock tubes are being sold without full disclosure. There is a small B branded onto the base but could be hard to see.
You’d have to ask @AudioHR (see above)! It’s definitely a possibility, those won’t bias correctly, or the bias may run off.

I posted the whole story in the thread below, post 59 back in 2023.

Anyone try the NEW 300B Tubes from Western Electric? Worth the Money? Better or Different than older Ones?

My issue was back in 2023. As far as I know they were not " B" stock.
