Problems with believability in audio

On Tuesday I attended a chamber music concert featuring three oboists with piano accompaniment. (...) No recording I’ve heard in 40+ years comes close to capturing the live sound.

Surely. The live event sound is much more than air waves .

. In this streaming obsessed ChatGPT world, we forget the absolute joy in attending live concerts like this one.

Curiously the decline of live concerts attendance predates streaming.

In Europe , numbers have been stationary, but unfortunately the attendance mean age is increasing, although we saw interesting niches with a significant number of young people.

For the price of $25, one gets an unforgettable musical experience that a million dollar system will not buy you.

Yes. And even for free concerts! Sound reproduction is not real music. Known since long, although some audiophiles love to forget it.

In that case, this is the last response you will get to a post from me as it is clear it would be a complete waste of time to engage further.

Morricab i have been thinking lately .
Regarding me talking about FMA being the best etc ..

For me to stay relevant on WBF i might have to go and buy a little SET headphone amp .
Just for discussions sake .
