the new 918 has the lap record for road cars at the nurburgring (the Radical SR8 doesn't count in my book). the time is verified on video, it will be interesting to see who will be first to beat the record: la Ferrari or McLaren p1

Wow, a lot faster than the Carrera GT time. Sadly, I don't $845K in loose change hanging around to own one.

German tuner Edo Karabegovic said this is currently the best production car, he already own one. I wonder how far he will push the envelope of this platform

It is open to the public. Just fly to Germany, rent a sport car and have a go at it.
