it can be argued that whenever a benchmark is set with supercars its going to be a porsche, ferrari and now Mclaren. why? pedigree. because they're the only supercar mfrs to win at high-level competition like le mans and f1, either as chassis mfr, engine supplier or both. these will be the top three cars every magazine will write about and all future supercars will be compared to for the next ten years. im talking about the recently announced ferrari enzo replacement (codename F70), mclaren P1 and porsche 918. of the three the P1 and 918 are hybrids. all three are set to debut next year. here's a glimpse of the all-new porsche 918 caught at the nurburgring:
