You have posted some beautiful photographs.

I was taken aback by your photo of the Vermillion Cliffs area of Arizona. I have lived in Arizona for 7 years and visited the Grand Canyon a few times since we've been here - even driven up Route 89 to get to the eastern entrance to the park - but had never even heard of the Vermillion Cliffs.

Will make it a point to go there next time we are up that way.

Here's an oldie.
Nanc & I hiked up to Lake Anne on a 3-day hiking/camping trip on Mount Baker, WA.
This is one of several snow caves we explored on the hike up.

gfroman,

Your photos are amazing. My wife and I love traveling and taking pictures which we blow up large (we have a few that are 6 feet around the house) but we are absolutely NOT "proper photographers" and certainly nothing like what you produce. Sensational. Thanks for sharing!

A couple of hours out of Bangkok, Thailand is a small village called Petburi.
It is the site of this wondrous underground cave that was turned into a Buddhist temple with hundreds of Buddhist statues. Wild monkeys run everywhere!

Another oldie from our Seattle days....
3-day hiking trip up to Mount Robson, B.C.
Heavy packs and ascending lots of switchbacks made this a tough trip!

Remembering 23 years ago, when we visited Turkey.
These ancient Roman cisterns are deep below the old section of Istanbul (formerly Constantinople).

Amazing place built in the 3rd and 4th centuries. And most of those 336 columns were salvage material from earlier temples. Now home to huge numbers of very large fish - and tourists!

This one was an ad for Benz Micro. Sinar 4X5 camera, 210MM Rodenstock plus twin bellows. Kodak transparency film.
You mean Apo-Macro-Sironar? Working with 210mm at this kind of magnification is rather insane. Below is around 1× with 120mm Nikkor AM*ED:

Double bellows not necessary of course :)
