Hi guys. For meds that you have to pay yourself, where is a good discounted, high-quality online place? I have used drugstore.com for years but wondering if there are better choices. Internet search provides a lot of dubious choices in islands and such and I worry about using them.

I wouldn't touch an online pharmacy with a 10 foot pole!!! You are taking your life in your hands. Check out some of the exposes on counterfeit drugs being sold online sourced from China and other countries and how they're not only worthless but also contain dangerous ingredients like lead paint for coloring etc. These counterfeit drugs are done so well that cursory examination by for instance people at Pfizer (viagra, etc) couldn't tell the difference. Color, size, packaging of the counterfeit drugs were identical to the real pill.

As a matter of fact, terrorism experts are very worried about these counterfeit drugs. It is known that Hezbollah derives part of its money from sales of counterfeit drugs in Western Europe. What would happen if Hezbollah decided to poison these pills? A chilling scenario!

Or catch up on the Sopranos and see how Tony was buying outdated pills from Canada for $1 and selling them for $20.

I hear you. I was tempted due to very low prices but then clicked on who produced the drugs. How about Canadian pharmacies though? My Doctor thought they would be safe but the one I found, still sourced it from dubious places.

The price difference for the meds I use is pretty big. Drugstore.com is about 40% cheaper. So if I can't find any other options, I will continue with them.

Thanks guys. I tried costco a few years ago and I was surprised how much cheaper drugstore.com was. My issue with drugstore.com is that when my prescription runs out they constantly claim they cannot get a hold of my doctor to renew. I call my doctor and they say they don't know anything about it and weeks go by until resolve it. So all else being equal, local place is definitely better. I will give them and walmart a try today and see where they are price wise.

I don't know the dispensing fees in the U.S., but in Canada Costco charges $4.11 and Wal-mart charges $9.97. Do online companies like drugstore.com charge this fee?

No, I have not seen such a fee.

BTW, I called Costco and they matched the drugstore.com pricing so that is the path I went. I wish their web site was as good as drugstore.com where you can look up the prices for any prescription.
