Anyone try these ?

They look like Stillpoints taken to the next level....

They are taken to the next level. They are very sensitive to the earth's magnetic field and must be aligned due north with reference to the dot on each cone. Failure to perform the proper alignment using a compass calibrated to standards traceable to NIST will result in a reversal of the cone's magnetic field which can couple with the magnetic field from your amps and preamps and effectively short-circuit the output. :D

Your humor evades me......
You must be a Stillpoint user :D

I am somewhat curious about them. I can't seem to find any mention of weight capacity. IMO, stillpoint ultra 5's would be superior.

The fact that you have to unscrew the Ultra a quarter turn from tight is a deal breaker for me.....

But aren't they less expensive than Stillpoints??

These are above my isolation products budget :) but I do have a set of Sort Kones and they work well.

Lee you're going to give yourself a bad name. An audiophile with a budget! :) Isn't that an oxymoron?

MEP, G997 won't get on the bus with us, I think he may have left his Stillpoints at home. Obviously, public transport isn't for everyone!

Someone has to do it. But yes being financially responsible is so out of style these days. ;)

I sold them all

They weren't very effective......

You don't have to, but they work better when the surface of the component and the surface of the Ultra product do not touch each other. Many users implement them without adapters/set screws attaching them to components. I do the same under my preamp. Yes, I do back the Hard Hat of the Ultra SS(U SS) off the body of the U SS but the preamp's chassis is resting on the Hard Hats.

Experimentation is key; you need to try several configurations (HH up, HH down, attached with HH up, attached with HH down, placing under component's transformers, disc player transports) to find the 'sweet spot locations' that result in the best performance.

Don't worry, the new owner loves your rejects ;)

So much he ordered another 8 Ultra's and 8 Mini's.
