new.. raidho D 4.1 ..Munich world premiere

The photos that Lars is posting on facebook look incredible. Raidho also had a good showing at Axpona. One of my favorite rooms there.

I think those towers look a lot fancier than their current units. I too like the raidho room at AXPONA.

Amir,

I have a show report posting in a few days on Raidho. I just wrote it up. The diamond driver technology is pretty cool.

I had never heard Raidhos before. They sounded good playing the LPs Jonathan Valin asked the demo host to play. They did not sound hyper-fast or a bit tizzy or a bit zingy like I found the Zellaton (which was stunningly transparent for any speaker, let alone a dynamic driver speaker), on a very brief listen with solid-state electronics, to sound.

I was at the show with a Raidho owner who wanted to go back to the room late Sunday afternoon as a final farewell. I have never quite been the biggest Raidho fan but tagged along anyway. The 4.1 diamonds were playing with some Avick amp all coupled together with Ansuz (spelling?) cables. We were treated to a great 3/4 of an hour with Lars playing rock and blues pretty loud. Led Zep's Dazed and Confused, some Joe Satriani and a few other blues tunes. I was blown away, speed, tonality, texture, detail, dynamics in spades, as well as being highly engaging and enjoyable. We could all have listened for another hour or two but got thrown out in the end. The only downside for myself was the £100,000 asking price which puts it well it of my price range.

When I was in the TAD room earlier I heard an old German gentleman say that in the next life he is going to come back as a millionaire. I know how he feels.
