jack, to involve a third team means the pelicans would have to want the assets of the third team but as of now, reporters are saying only the lakers and the celtics have the kind of assets that would make the pelicans budge. the pelicans best option is to wait to hear what danny ainge will offer them but that can happen only after july 1, when irving either gets a new contract from the c's or he moves elseswhere as a FA. but if the lakers right now offer the pelicans something that will make them not even want to hear what ainge has to offer after july 1, then davis is theirs. it may even include the gym equipment of the the lakers.

I was imagining something like this since Kyrie and AD can't be on the same team

That's true Steve. The only way for him to sign again with the Celtics is if he actually wins a title with Kyrie in Boston. Paul George was a 1 year rental at okc but somehow fell in love with the city, and they did not even win a title.

Great season this year as there are so many contenders in both the east and west
Sixers beat the Warriors and stop their 11 game win streak and Milwaukee looks to be the team to beat as they killed Toronto last night and now hold the best record in the NBA

Feb 7 is just a few days away so expect some more blockbuster trades

Will the Pelicans trade for AD before then or will other factors come into play like the Celtics and Kyrie

To me the biggest travesty in watching the Lakers making player decisions for the future will be saying good bye to many if not all of these young kids and quite possibly the departure of Luke for rumored Jason Kidd as coach for AD

I'm watching Houston vs Denver

IMO Harden is every bit as good as LeBron in his prime
HOWEVER the guy consistently scores over 36 ppg and usually half of the team's output

MVP, Yes, for me however the guy can't play Defense and it seems that if other teams can contain him (difficult at best) they will win

Case inpoint, the Rockets were leading for most of the first half only to take the led with strong team play and finish out the half up 83-71

Denver can play with the best of them

These are exciting time for basketball fans as there is so much competition across the board from East to West

I must admit that Milwaukee has my attention.

Steve, what I feel is that the Pelicans are mystified at what a Boston offered package can look like past July 1. That may be the only reason for yawning at the Lakers all out offer.
