Is it just me or does anyone else feel the officiating in the NBA is not as good as it used to be. There seem to be so many missed calls and so many coaches challenges which prove successful.

Yesterday there was a walking violation by KAT where he took five steps and no walking call was made. Then the calls the refs make are often so obviously wrong that there are successful coaches challenges which imo slows the game and takes the excitement away. Yesterday at Detroit it literally took 5 minutes to play the last 0.5 seconds of the game

It's not just you - seems to me it's been this way since they went from 2 to 3 refs. Also, when was the last offensive 3 sec rule enforced?

It was tough for the Grizz to beat OKC with a healthy Ja Morant and today with Morant out with a hip contusion, the Grizz tried to extend the series only to be sent fishing as the OKC Thunder withstood a late charge by the Grizz as they closed to within 2 points.

However the Thunder remained undefeated and sweep the Grizz 4-0

Watching SGA work the ball and play the clock as he dribbles around the defender and as the shot clock is about to run out he casually puts the ball up and swish for a long 3

on the next play Bane answered with a longer three to close within 2

But too little, too late as Memphis runs out of clock and are swept

terrific game at LA as Nuggs held a 13 point lead and Clippers never lead in the game until they went ahead 97-96 in the final minute of the game only to have Jokic tie it at the FT line and then put the Nuggs ahead 99-97 with 16 seconds in the game
Zubac ties the game at 99 with 8 seconds in the game

On the Nuggs final possession of regulation time ..Ball is inbounded to Jokic who misses the jump shot only to have Gordon put the rebound in with a nanosecond left in the game

Nuggs tie the series at 2


Final 101-99 Denver ..what a game...I have never seen a buzzer beater so close that it was literally a nanosecond that the ball went in and the light went on.

Series goes back to Denver tied 2-2

what a game at Detroit. I thought it was over at the half as Knicks had a 16 point lead and midway through the 3rd Detroit came alive and lead 55-52

what an exciting 3rd period as both teams are playing for keeps. The crowd is finally in it and Spike Lee is courtside as the Knicks perennial mascot

Brunson rolls an ankle and goes to the locker room and Pistons are energized

End of 3rd Pistons lead 71-64

Brunson is such a great player as gets his ankle taped and is back in the game. it seems like it is the Brunson vs the Pistons as he seems to score at will . Knicks with Brunson in the game are a totally different team as the ball goes through Brunson on every play and he rarely misses the shot.

the shooting accuracy of Brunson is uncanny. He reminds me of Steph Curry who always makes the clutch shots.

So also it is with Brunson

5'30" left in the game and Detroit holds a mere 2 point lead 81-79

This game is one of the best Ive seen in the playoffs so far

The final 2 minutes of this game were probably the best Ive seen as each team trades baskets but KAT makes 2 amazing three point baskets to finally put the Knicks back up at 94-93 with 45 seconds in the game

Sadly Cunningham gives up the ball as he drives the basket and Knicks take over with 37 secs left

ball again goes to Brunson with 17 seconds and he misses the layup which likely would have won the game

with a foul to give Cunningham is fouled with 11 seconds in the game ..Cuunningham takes the inbound and misses the mid range jump shot and Knicks run out the clock

Knicks go back to New York with a 3-1 lead

As Brunson goes, so go the Knicks

His ankle could be a factor in the next game as he was playing on adrenaline the last few minutes

another gutsy game between Lakers and Wolves. As always Lakers take an early 9 point lead on Doncic and LeBron but rest of the Lakers are doing nothing and in thr final minutes of the half ANT puts the Wolves ahead 61-58.

Randle has played a great half and made a lotto shots. Once agin the 3 point shot by the Wolves is killing the Lakers

Wolves are a superior team behind ANT, Randle and McDaniels. They briefly caught the Lakers in the 3rd and took the lead but Lakers finished the period strong behind James and lead 94-84

A 10 point lead by. the Lakers usually measns nothing as they are notorious for giving it up in the 4th

Indeed no lead is ever a given with the Lakers in the 4th as they notoriously find. way to give it up.. With 4 minutes left in the game a barrage of 3 pointers by the Wolves close the gap to a narrow 2 point lead 104-102 Lakers

another exciting finish as the Wolves indeed overtake the Lakers and take the lead but with 1'11" left Finney Smith nails a 3 to give the Lakers a 2 point lead. Wolves tie and take the lead with 39 secondsleft 114-113

And once again on the inbound LeBron gives up the ball to ANT who takes the ball in for a layup but slips nd ball goes out of bounds. Coach's challenge is successful as LeBron commits another sin by fouling ANT as the ball goes out of bounds

Game over 116-113 Wolves as once again the Lakers give up the lead and LeBron commits 2 costly mistakes by giving up the inbound pass and then fouling ANT with 9 seconds left cost the Game and almost assuredly the series

I see a Western Final between OKC and Wolves

the Wolves are a darn good team...so are the Knicks but there are better in the East as we shall see as these playoffs unfold.

Knicks were lucky again today as the Pistons IMO could have won that game

Cleveland sweeps and Thunder sweeps..Is that foreshadowing of probable East vs West Finals this year

I still think Wolves match up well with the Thunder as I cannot see Lakers winning the next 3 games

Sad news about Damian Lillard.......an achilles tear is devastating for a basketball player..Kobe was never the same after he tore his....but I will never forget him hobbling to the free throw line and taking those two free throws vs GSW
