By that I mean "Do you have to have music playing all of the time, or most of the time?"
I'm a huge music lover, as we all are, but I've never been one of those people who has to have it available 24/7, or at least in our waking moments. I don't have an MP3 player anymore as I gave it away since I rarely used it. I also have no music on my phone, nor do I play music in my car (except when travelling long-distance). Some of my friends are surprised by this, given my passion for it.
None of this has to do with the format of the music, it's just that I don't want it around all of the time. I love the peace, quiet and serenity of the early morning hours, which I suppose is music to my ears in some ways, so it's rare that I play anything until a few hours after I wake. I've also been reading a lot more again (which I absolutely love as well), but I can't listen to music at the same time......is that weird?
So the bottom line is that I get perhaps 1-3 hours a day listening to music at most. More of course on weekends when I can take the time to really listen. I think this last part is key for me. YMMV!
