Music Forum Related Prospect

I like this place and the level of discussion or I wouldn't bring up for official investigation idea of a new sub-forum

The vast majority of my listening these days is music fitting within the classical genre. Imploring family/friends to "test" Qobuz has reintroduced a larger amount of currently relevant electronic/techno. Which appears to be rediscovering enjoyable thematic material less centered in alternately a post-communist, designer drug, or club environment. Being reasonably new I cannot say if there is sufficient interest to add another sub-forum. Or even if posting on the subject in the general music forum would alienate a large number of members interests. I will say as a generalization it encompasses a large amount of very direct quotation from nearly every musical genre... and warps the known into new and unknown forms.

Any discussion you would care to have on the subject is welcome. Additionally I will add a few links to reference material by no means comprehensive or failing to be cherry picked explicitly.

Putting obvious investigation of Qobuz catalog that day aside for a moment.

My first contact with WBF was following a link here. Shortly followed by more scrolling through a main forum page than I had ever expected to encounter. This raised a question mark that took a few days to answer for myself. Some history naturally came along with this answer. The sense of order in this arrangement was ultimately arrived at as a reasonable solution. Openness to growth and expansion of interests that offer awareness of subjects and social currency which might otherwise be constrained.

The suggestion was to poll that governing growth to see if a sub-forum devoted to the various incarnations of electronic music aligns closely enough to your aims. Possibly starting new topics, in the general music forum, or entering in situ discussions such as NorthStar's "A Music Passion" with a very loose directive were ready made options. On numerous occasions I've heard various people interested in this hobby mention a large amount of enjoyment being derived from suggestions by their children etc. I've an inkling this covers the gamut from sugary pop to actual intellectual and artistic development of musical forms actively using techniques only possible through a processor. Very little mention of specifics ever surfaced.

The linked albums presupposed access to a service available in a sufficient numbers of ways music is accessed by members here. Honestly I expected them to be mostly ignored in favor of a few personal discussions and whatever amount of investigation was found wanting. Letting the mask slip a little, selections in the classical forum have been intriguing enough to try opening a window on music for moving around.
