To my surprise Michael Fremer is the only one who announced the news:

https://www.analogplanet.com/content/high-end-munich-2021-officially

I wondered that the HighEnd Society announced their plans so early and do not postpone the event for later in the year. But I guess the exhibitors have to make their reservations early. We will see if the HighEnd will take place in 2021. I hope so. Missed it last year....

more details:

13. and 14. (Thursday and Friday) is B2B only (one day more for B2B only visitors)
15. and 16. (Saturday and Sunday) is B2B and B2C (one day less open for the public)

The last years have shown, that in the ground floor many OEM companies attended the show.

So consumers were able to identify, where (and for which price) many High End companies do source their components.

This year all OEM supplies will be concentrated in one ground floor area and this part of the High End is than only open to B2B visitors.

If they wanted to favor Trade Visitors they should start 1 day early not penalize customers by shortening the show
for us by 1 day. Trade visitors would be not be trade visitors without the consumer.

This is a huge mistake,..3 days is challenging enough to see all the rooms, I'm trying to imagine it in 1 entire day less,...Yikes!

AFAIK they have a backup date in early december. I hope everything will go to plan. The shows in Europe are starting to reopen now.
The audio biz needs this show.

3 days means it will be even more crowded.

Is any form of social distancing going to be maintained at these shows?

I still have the unused plane ticket from last year. I hope the airline hasn't gone bust by May 2021!

I misunderstood SC audiophile's comment of 3 days, he was referring to the previous 3 days for the public is challenging enough.

I'll never forget trying to hear the Magico horns with a room full of people. I waited as the salesman just spoke to some dude. And waited. And waited. And waited. And.... left!

Unbelievable behaviour.

Maybe someone was showing interest in actually buying a pair. Only explanation for pissing off so many people I can think of.

I guess the HighEnd is and was always officially an industrial fair (only open for public too). So they sharpened their focus.

But I regret they cut one public day. Not to hurry up through the booths and sometimes just remains in interesting booths i took myself 2 1/2 days for overview and a half day visiting again best of 3 days were perfect.

So the remainig two public days will be crowded and contrary to keeping distance.

I will see if I can get an business invitation to get the third day even so.

No surprise due to the pandemic situation the HighEnd delays to september:

I have just booked the Hotel in Munich for September 2021.
As the chosen week shows some more events in Munich, like the German IAA Automobile fair,
hotels are getting already busy and expensive.
Take your chance :)
