MUNCHEN 2025 MOC / MARRIOTT The final Chapter !

Any good sounding rooms ?

Most of what i see is extravaganza and audio jewelry .

Bling bling satisfaction only lasts a couple momths .

I hoped aries cerat would fine tune last years design but it seems again something completely different.

Nice Wilson brought the Wamm it ll be the first time i hear it .but why always dagostino why not the gryphon apex or VTL?

I ll start at Hifi Deluxe tomorrow ar 12:00.
Live coverage .

Fyi nobody paid me to get here and i dont make any money of it .
Actually I found the big Aries Cerat speakers to be good sounding today for the short time I was in that room. Far too big for me and not very attractive at all, but the sound was on a high level.

The market is in this high end quite focused on very large and spectacular setups you’re right. If you look close you can also see examples of good sounding setups that are less imposing and more focused on getting the music across and getting out of the way of that music. A good question is whether you could actually live with such a system in any of the rooms you visit. To me it’s interesting to see what technology and creativity come up with, and to see and hear what’s possible. On the other hand you can also hear limitations, room problems or effects that are enlarged out of proportion, at least I do. Have fun tomorrow!

I’ve just come back to the hotel after spending decent time with the UK squad tonight. Took around 200 pictures so far but fellow members will or have already posted so I won’t repost these. There is still a fair amount of rooms that I didn’t visit yet, so will do tomorrow and Saturday.

This year seems really quiet on the opening day and many rooms did an amazing job when setting up their system properly under challenging show conditions. I was impressed by the sound of these, probably I was lucky as when coming around, they did play some very decent music to my ears.

It’s interesting to see some standmounters can do a great job in all types of room. Bigger speakers surely can provide much greater scales and dynamics.

As always, Sigma Acoustic and Stenheim rooms are stellar. YG rooms are also amazing this year while first time I could listen to the big Gobel speakers.

The guys in Canton room truly knows how to demo their speakers with fantastic music, while in contrast, Tidal with their very expensive stuff played something boring and sleepy when I was there.

I’ve seen some new brands that I had not before with impressive sounds while panels are everywhere and they do rock, truly nice sound indeed.

Wilson have been paired with different electronics in different room, but the Constellation amps really make them sing. I was pinned down to the chair when they played nothing else matter, great great stuff.

Because the show was pretty quiet on the first day so I could ask people over there to play some music that I want, and usually spend 15-30 minutes each room. I only rushed to check some rooms at the end of the day but defo revisit them tomorrow for a proper listening.

Could anyone post clear pictures & technical info & pricing for the new Mastersound Pf-200 monoblock amplifiers and preamp on top of the rack? Thanks in advance!

Wilson Audio and Dan Agostino with DCS... beautiful dynamic but I don't like this sound. I find it very analytical and lifeless.
Yes, all instruments can be listened without problems, you can listen them one by one...
For the moment, I like Acapella, TotalDac, Marten Audio...
Lyngdorf has done a demonstration between stereo and Dolby Atmos..the song is ... what 's going on' from Marvin Gaye...yes, the sound is terrific with Dolby Atmos and not very good in stereo... but I have this album in vinyl and this song on my system has nothing to do with their stereo demonstration...

Good to hear, I had dinner with two dCS-forum members last night. Looking forward to today and will definitely still check out Sigma, Acapella and Stenheim. Enjoy, and who knows I might see you there.

I’ll head up to hifi deluxe towards the end of the afternoon.

If you haven’t yet, please check out the dCS room on the top floor with the Lina X and Watt/Puppy. Several people agreed that it hits a sweet spot more than the big WAMM.

First stop munchener Dom .
Its open / free entrance and the organ is playing .
Stunning sunny day in munich .

Checking my speakersound against the real thing

Just a very quick update from me. Although I am not a fan of horns but both the WE and Accapela rooms sound terrific, while the Avantgarde room is actually very good too. It’s just too much money to get the WE and Accapela home, need a hall for them first before anything else. My start of the second day can’t be better, and the WEs rock, crazy.
