MUNCHEN 2025 MOC / MARRIOTT The final Chapter !

Were you happy about the sound? (And the room, of course)

Regarding the right rack, what I see on the picture is that, IIUC, the gears' weight were overhang (in French: en porte-à-faux). If so, HOW could that rack handle the weight of the Sikora turntable, and the Aries Cerat Hermes phono, then the Protos integrated amplifier?! All three seem overhung...
(As for the left rack, I can see vertical pilar on the rack sides, so I understand)
Oh Yes! Very happy with the sound. Will be uploading some videos from the event eventually (needs some free time...). The rack is incredibly massively built and was able to handle the weight (rack weighed over 150 kg) despite being an overhanging design.

Fine that you were very happy with the sound!

Was the Frenchman, Sikora and Koetsu distributor, as much happy as you were?
What did he think about Aries Cerat gear?

He tends to play sometimes a little harsh original records. Not everyone then seem to be able to make a difference between the message (a harsh-sounding record) and the messenger (the system). And this has led some to draw horribly false conclusions about a very high-end system that he demonstrated at a hi-fi show I attended.
I found his approach audacious and interesting, but also a bit risky (because we are then ahead of elevator jazz...but light years ahead... Can be unsettling for most audiophiles)

Interesting observations. He said we had a very good system and really liked Protos especially and the Odeons. Mostly he played very good quality recordings and just a couple as you described where the music was very good and interesting. I think overall his approach works but nothing can satisfy everyone.
