Most vinyl-sounding DAC?

I love vinyl for its sound; dislike it for its relative lack of convenience. Looking to emulate the sound of vinyl in my digital set up and build a new system from scratch with this goal in mind.

Of course, it's ultimately a matter of total system synergy, but isolating the DAC as a single component, which DAC most lends itself to a vinyl-esque sound?

Some options I am looking at based on reputation:

- Mola Mola Tambaqui
- Playback Designs MPD-8
- Lampizator Horizon

@asegal - so what did you end up buying? Interested, as i`m on a similar journey... won`t go past 10k for the DAC though, as vinyl will stay my main source... looking at smaller Lapizator DACs at the moment...

Sorry for the super-slow response! I ended up -- after trying a few -- with the Playback Designs MPD-8. Has many of the sonic attributes of vinyl while retaining the strengths of digital. How did your journey end up? Are you happy?

Had never heard of the brand but having seen your post I've read a few super interesting reviews. Looks like a unique design.
