After three days of doing nothing here but eating and walking Lola we finally waded into the snow and executed a single sled ride. We might tell people a helicopter dropped us off at Devil's Death Drop, but we actually trudged up a shallow hill and managed to sled about 20 feet before coming to an abrupt and ignominious stop.

So, that white stuff is snow :D Down here in Naples, FL I wore shorts and golf shirt all day. We were in the high 70s yesterday with a wonderful breeze going off the Gulf.

Seriously, though that snow looks great. I remember it from my youth being a lot of fun.

Ron, that is too funny. Have you ever tried snow shoeing? I like making smores by an outdoor firepit in the snow. And I thought you would be walking by the marina watching the sailboats go out in Long Beach over the holidays. CA sure has natural beauty. Happy New Year.

I have never tried snow shoeing. It seems strenuous.

I have not been in a full snowstorm and “white-out” since I lived in Rochester, New York and in Chicago, Illinois. It was surreal to think that we drove from the sunny beach in Long Beach to full-on Colorado ski mountains and winter snow-land without leaving the state.

Happy New Year!

Watching the sunset now, beautiful! That being said as a growing up a Southern California surfing native, a beach without waves is pointless! :p

Merry Christmas All Ya'll!
