Well last year I purchased a new oled tv for my den , old one was ok but way behind in tech
in nyc I have two oled flagship panels really good quality just amazing quality
one went bad under warranty
so made some calls they picked it up and two weeks later boom it’s back works great for a few months
Now broke again won’t turn on
Now out of warranty I pay to fix
Works great still ok
Now down south I have to completely surge protected , big storms big surge lol
anyway so I buy 77 inch oled lg tv wow it’s amazing picture
until two weeks ago
just a red blinking light a code 4 blinks and no boot up
tv s on top of a heavy wood platform
no kids bouncing basket balls in my home
so I make some calls and they ask me to take some pics
Very obvious to me where this is going but hey no cracks so ok
what I did see is a tiny dot bottom right corner and around the metal frame where the glass meets is some tiny particles multi colors
after I give them photos they tell me it’s not covered due to physical damage
I insisted on getting a lg rep to look anyway
nice man and I had to pay him
100 so ok
he tells me yea they won’t cover this
I asked why it’s physical damage
I said ok how I can’t disprove your claim and you can’t confirm yours.
he tells me his thoughts , the screen gets hot happens on bottom corners and this not only makes the tv not boot but can crack the screen. Wow right so he leaves and I buy a new tv oled evo and it’s playing in my room.
I then get mad at how can lg get away on this
so while at my desk I use a phone and call lg again and demand a person above to talk to
in the end after convincing them on my theories guess what
Same tech company gets a ticket to repair my tv.
I mentioned an attorney and this needs to be a class action lawsuit
in fact the tech told me he has declared that exact model 6 times in about a year
oddly it’s the 65 inch screen not 55 and not 75 inch
I hope this helps someone
