JBL vs JBL

Hello everyone, I recently bought the JBL 308P MkII studio monitors( http://www.jblpro.com/www/products/recording-broadcast/3-series-mkii/308p-mkii#.W_zrK-nQaUk)to update my audio system, I am using the JBL Synthesis Studio 530(https://www.jblsynthesis.com/productdetail/studio_530.html) with the Harman Kardon HK 3490 receiver, do you think the monitors are better than the Studio 530 in terms of quality, definition and detail? I know perfectly that the studio monitors are for work and look for details in recordings, but they also have tremendous quality, detail and definition.
