Do some brands have better stability than others? Or does everyone have the same stability at a similar price point?

What do you mean by stability? Stable meaning resistant or immune to vibration like foot steps near the TT. Or stable meaning little or no variation in speed. For the latter, is it short term (variation within few rotations) or long term (variation or drift in speed during the course of a day or more). Then there are TT's which are pretty constantly fast or slow and cannot easily be adjusted in speed.
