Cable risers: influence of shape, material, different kinds of wood?

There are many non audio items we can use as cable risers.
Some elegant, some not so.

Please let us try which materials and shapes do or don’t ruin or help the sound.

After this book nonsense I doubt that similar materials like felt will help.
I have a dozen multiplex wood pieces under XLR and speaker cables.
After the bizarre things mentioned above and astonishing results with footers under my AC distributor,
I could well imagine that power cords are most sensitive.

Crazy nonsense? I can’t blame you for this thought, it certainly crossed my mind.
