I said I would never buy another Turntable...Argh !!!

Christian, I think that room is going to have fantastic natural acoustics!

That is fantastically beautiful

Wow what a great room!

Hi Christian,

May I ask about the relocation of your system. Would you have a dedicated listening room or would you be listening in an open living room. Are you eyeing on a new pair of speakers? Maybe another "...Argh!" thread in the future?

I am a fan and just being very nosy here :p.

I think a big horn system would fit and sound lovely there...Argh

The color does suit Vox

Christian, as someone who wakes up everyday happy I've been lucky enough to live in a house w such character and space as our chapel, I know just how you're going to feel when you move in to your new place.

It certainly would fit, but I don’t think horns are the best answer for Christian’s Grateful Dead and classic rock music.

Interesting. Are horns less appropriate for that kind of music? Is it about slam and extension? I could see the Magico Ultimates with Q subs in there. Wow. Interestingly, Chris only played jazz and classical for me, though I'm sure those big Wilsons can do rock like the best out there. I suppose he was catering to his guest.

Well, i am not sure about that , for sure in a small(er) room i think you are right.
But in such a big room it could be a different story.

Two sets of speakers, one on either side, with a swivel chair on wheels in between?

Guys - not sure whether you considered what nightclubs are powering their heavy beat / pounding bass lines with? Big. Juicy. Horns. No other technology would reach sufficient output with bass throw without needing to be energised directly by the sun itself and even then the cones would blow up and die. The spl achieved for the pounding bass lines simply requires large scoop. Same for rock music at festivals of course.

Bill these guys are not as young as us. They haven't been to nightclubs in decades, hence they don't know about horns
