Just bought a Nordost Odin tonearm cable, 1.5 meter xlr from phono stage to main pre and a 5 meter xlr from pre to power amps. This replaces my Valhalla. I feel so dirty...hehe

Congrats but feeling dirty is looking at the $40K run of Odin speaker cable in the Nola room ;)

Just bought some Nordost Odin power cables(3), Odin tonearm cable (my second one), 1.5 meter xlr from phono stage to main pre and a 5 meter xlr from pre to power amps. This replaces my Valhalla. I feel so dirty...hehe

But now I feel happy again - I only need a 4.5m one!

Got a good deal on my Odin Phono so I feel just a little dirty. :D

Well, it was your fault Christian! You were the one that implanted the Elite/Odin combo in my head! I figured I'd pull the trigger ahead of schedule to lessen the total impact later on! :D

Just remember, happiness cannot buy you money. :)

Money doesn't buy you happiness, it only makes misery more comfortable.

However, no amount of comfort is going to make up for lack of an Odin tonearm cable on the Elite/Air Force One :D

Nordost loaned me an Odin phono 3 years back at CES and it transformed my system. I didn't enjoy listening to the music until I swapped out the standard cable on the Phantom II with the Odin. What a revelation....... what happiness.

I just finished installing these "God Particle" cables that arrived today...The stereo is now warming up. ;)

How ironic that both clean sounding and looking cables can make you feel dirty :D

Looks like you hit the lottery!

I wish it felt that good. I feel more like wanting to collect welfare after this purchase...lol

My initial impressions...Valhalla sounds somewhat compressed in comparison. The music flows significantly better and the noise floor dropped appreciably. The bass reproduction is better too...

How long for 'burn-in' according to mfgr?

The interconnect and tonearm cables were burned in via the Nordost Vidar machine. I imagine it will be a few more weeks for full breakin playing music. The power cords cannot be Vidar'd so they have a ways to go.

you're going to love those cables. I have a friend who also own the X2 (driven by Sigfrieds) and upgraded from all Valhalla to all Odin and loved it. His words - "more meat on the bone".

congrat's ;)

Yes, the difference between them is rather large. I also compared both sets (excluding the power cables) in my system, and felt the same as you, but I was not prepared to spend such a large amount in cables. Recently I heard about a Devialet / Wislon Sasha owner who bought a complete set of Odin cables after trying them for a few days!
