I give it up ! After having new problems with 6.09/2.1 I go back to 5.7/1.5 who work as perfect as WIFI is able to work. I´m convinced that 6.xxx/2.1 destabilize something in my W 7 - computer.
:-(
Why that? The absolutely bottleneck is the WiFi. Should not be important, whether the NAS is connected by gigabit or not?! I really wonder about the bad functionality using WiFi at all. Seems to me, that Devialet has not made its homework yet. WiFi source right to the devialet, no other data through the WiFi, problems with different routers, in the end a WiFi optimized room or even house?! One should perhaps try to move in the countryside to avoid interferences from outside also. Sorry, we are talking about music and not even high resolution 4K 3D material with more than one stream simultaneously. The problem should not asked to be solved by every user on his own experiencing at home, but has to be solved by Devialet. They are out now for years. Should have been solved for a long time anyhow.
Would be nice to read, how he made it especially as I thought I have heard somewhere that it is not possible to give the Devialet a static IP. I am working with static IPs only.I was on the PS Audio website discussing this issue and one person has assigned a static IP to the Devialet and it has worked, trying to find out how he did it, as that will be a much secure connection IMO.

My router is Ethernet connection to pc and placed about 1meter away from devialet. After upgrade to fw6.09 and AIR2.1 is working perfectly good. Been working for 2days No wifi drop out issue so far.

´Might´, but they don´t so far. They are still publicizing "the best cable is no cable".Devialet might as well forget about wifi completely from now on.

As every cable may make interferences that could influence the sound quality.
Wondering, why they do not discuss this on their website with clear recommondation.
You should not forget that "no cable" is not "just air" beween sender and receiver. Wireless streaming is much more complex and involves many more parts that can fail (and degrade the signal) than cable based options.
-55 to -61dBm is not very good, the closer to zero the better. It's -20dBm on my Devialet and I no longer have issues since 6.0.7 except for the sudden WiFi drop off problem discussed earlier. I've reported this to Devialet and they have acknowlegded this issue and are now working with the manufacturer of the WiFi modules to get this resolved.
edit: with the current version of AIR it is much more important to have a good WiFi network. This is simply a fact, of course we can complain about it but if no one let's Devialet know they won't do anything. So please let them know. For now all else we can do is optimize both the WiFi network and our playback machines. Besides noting the WiFi strength one should also use the WiFi channel with the least active or better the weakest other accesspoints. Also configure your router to use N-only if possible and a channel width of 20Mhz (not 40) as this is more stable.
