Has anyone heard the Devialet D-Premier Integrated Amp/DAC

But hardware problem would mean a callback of the Devialets or a card exchange - however.

I asked Thierry this morning by mail, too. Now waiting for an answer.

And let´s see what will happen between Air2.1 and iTunes 11.1 which is out now preparing your iTunes for synchronisation with iOS7.
Did anyone hear about an Update of the Devialet iOS App for iOS7 already?

I've been waiting for 2 months for a fix for the phono input on the 170. I've been told by the US distributor that it was coming in a week or two twice now. I guess the 170 and 240 have more gain in the phono stage than the D-Premiere and the firmware does not account for it. As a result the input digitally clips regardless of where you set the gain. I've confirmed this with a Shelter 9000 MC and Clearaudio Maestro MM cartridge.

If you hear from Thierry maybe you could get some information on this too. Thanks

Answer from Devialet:
As I mentioned earlier we are working on the issue which involves also the WiFi chip manufacturer. We will issue a new firmware until the end of the year which will improve the stability.
Sorry, but that does not sound like "nothing major" as written 2 months ago

Does anybody know if the Devialet iPhone app will work with iOS7?
A lot of apps got released with updates to make them compatible with the new OS but so far nothing from Devialet

thanks

The vol control app for 5.7.x works fine in iOS7

Is someone using an iMac as ´feeder´ for the Devialet and can confirm the following workaround:

1) Apple´s Remote App can be used to wake up the iMac from the iPhone/iPad to run itunes on it.
2) The display of the iMac remains off.
3) AIR is working well in this operating status of the iMac.

Especially point 2 is important to me, when thinking about using an iMac instead of a Mac Mini for itunes.

Edit: Found an info, that making a choice in itunes via Remote App and starting it will switch on the iMac´s display?!

This is how I have set up mine. The Imac is in another room so I am not sure if the monitor switch on or not when woken up from remote. Hower you can set the energy savings to put the monitor back to sleep after few minutes and the imac will keep playing music with the screen off. One limitation, if someone is using the imac with a different profile you won't be able to play the music from our profile. This was possible with the older version of air but not with air2

Thx for your answer so far. Could you please find out how your iMac is starting in the other room?! The monitor should be off when you wake the Mac up by Remote App. But does the iMac really switch it on when a track is startet for the Devialet? Would be helpfull.

Gave it a quick try. Computer was asleep, I woke it up with remote and started playing a song. At the point monitor switched on. However it switched itself off quite quickly, around a minute. However if your computer is still awake but the monitor is off as per power savings settings and you start a song the monitor will stay off.
It seems imac behave in different ways according to the status

Thanks a lot. I appreciate it.

When I understand you right, the monitor will be activated (even if only for a short time of a minute) every time, you are selecting a new track with the Remote App and starting it. What a senseless behaviour. And no good news. That can only be avoided by using the power saving options. Monitor will stay off once it is for the first time even if you select songs via Remote App/itunes. Interesting.

The monitor will start only the first time you play the first song, for the subsequently songs will stay off.

Basically when you wake the computer through the remote the screen is still off, once the song start playing it goes on, but goes off before the song is finished, from that point onward the screen will be off.

I am at work now but I will do more test and double check the behaviour once I get back home.

Off for subsequently songs, yes. I suspected that.

But I suppose it will be switched on, when you choose and start another song actively by Remote App later on?!

Thx again for your help!!!

This is the sequence of operations I did as a test.
The computer was completely asleep,
I switched on the Devialet and then I turned on the Remote app on my iPad.
The app woke up the computer with screen still off.
I started playing a song an the monitor switched on, it stayed on for 2 minutes (the time I have set on the power settings for Display Sleeps) then the monitor went off.
At that point I changed song, the song changed but the monitor remained off, I tried again with another song, Devialet switched again to the new song but the monitor remained off.

Hope this helps

Ah, OK. I understood that wrong. Could you try what happens without energie settings for the monitor? I suppose, it will stay tuned on.

No idea for what that is good for at all :(

Yes the power settings dictate how long the monitor will be on before switching off. If you put never it will stay on and at that point the screensaver will start (if configured)

Hello I am a new user of this forum. I have a Dpremier and I use it with a Mac_mini and Itunes. Do you know, it is possible to use Jriver for Mac ?
I have tried, the Dpremier is known as a sound card, but there is no sound

I have tried, the Dpremier is known as a sound card, but there is no sound

I also tried it once without success. Also it was a nightnare as the menu bar kept disappearing, so definitely a beta product.

Did someone compare Sonos Connect with bit perfect output to the Devialet vs AIR2 by WiFi or USB so far?
