So Mike, you're a proponent of the Hot Stamper pov?
Aren't the tracks on Rumours digital recordings?
Recording occurred in a six-by-nine-metre room which included a 3M 24-track tape machine, a range of high-quality microphones, and an API mixing console with 550A equalisers.
Mike
I did find a reasonably priced copy of the variant you talked about above so hopefully it sounds as good as yours does! thanks for the help on that one!
HELLO ALL!
I found a Fleetwood Mac Rumors album that had some different dead wax/matrix markings that ive never ran into before that said " BSK-1--3010-WW2 FM TEST" and then smaller neater letters "MASTERDISK"
Any thoughts?
Thanks!
Thank you, Mike, for researching this!
I know where I went wrong: A company named Nautilus released an LP of Rumours which that company, for some silly reason, digitally remastered and then cut to vinyl.
The 45 reissue's (there are a couple) sound like crap in comparison.
Nautilus was also mastered by Ken Perry, but with early digital chain.
Possibly pressing defect or groove wear. Mine is fine.
