EMT 128 phono stage sounds as good as the looks but requires a relatively high output cartridge. it’s hard not to be impressed by the build quality when you open the top cover.

Great aesthetics at the least. That's a 9" arm on the new 928? I wonder if it can mount a 12". And if the phono stage is also battery-powered.

I'm guessing not on both questions.

Looks like the Thales Slim.
At this point EMT is simply a badge for Thales products. You’ll accept them if you like their house sound or hate them if you’re not a fan. Either way EMT exists no more. In a way it‘s been gone for decades.

The EMT 128 has a switchable Gain (64 and 70db), I had very good performance in using a Koetsu cartridge.

What’s the deal with those tubes? Soldered in and if you need replacement you undo that one bolt and get a new tube and daughter board from EMT?
