Another is the positioning and support for the turntable - a $20 Ikea butcher's block, a few hockey pucks and/or felt pads.

I like that idea!

I'm also with Room Treatment and Speaker Positioning recommendations.

Besides AC treatment, speaker placement and fine-tunning! - once major changes are applied, play with micro-inches adjustments, sadly it depends on the source but worths trying and its free!

Not real cheap but for $200, the latest iteration of the Marigo Audio Evolution CD / DVD mat. To my ears, quite impressive.

CD treatments. I use the Mapleshade three step method, which consists of Microsmooth, Optrix, and a destat device.

The other is vibration attenuation devices under all hardware.

Here's two:
- RF attenuator on SPDIF line - theory = cuts down on cable reflections; reduces jitter. Try about -10dB or -15dB 75ohm Minicircuits RF attenuators - Product ID HAT-10-75 or HAT-15-75 cost about $15
- Get rid of USB cable & use USB fixed connectors or very short USB cable (6 inches or less) - theory = ?

Nobody bothered trying these? Couldn't be the cost element! What is it - proof needed?
